For elimination of malfunctions, replacements of details and knots subject a suspension bracket to full or partial dismantling.
Removal of springs from the car
Removal of forward and back springs is made practically in identical sequence. For this purpose it is necessary:
- To weaken an inhaling of nuts of step-ladders;
- To disconnect the bottom end of the shock-absorber;
- To lift a jack a forward part of the car for removal of forward springs or back so that springs have unloaded;
- To substitute under the lifted end of a frame technological supports of the corresponding height and to lower on them the car;
- To turn away a nut of bolts of fastening резинометаллических spring hinges. To take out bolts. If it is complicated them I will eat, to beat out copper выколоткой, not to spoil a carving;
- To turn away a nut of step-ladders and to remove step-ladders;
- To lift the car a jack so that the forward end of a spring left the arm, and the back end — from an earring. To remove a spring.

Before spring dismantling to clear of a dirt and to define their technical condition. If all details are suitable for the further operation it is necessary to check up an arrow of a deflection of a spring in a free condition. For this purpose it is necessary to pull a thread or a thin wire between axes of ears and to measure distance from a thread to the top surface (at центрового a bolt) the first radical sheet (fig. 6.4) which should be:
At малолистовых (2 sheets) forward springs — (147±10) mm;
At малолистовых (3 sheets) back springs — (150±10) mm;
At multisheet (4 sheets) forward springs — (135±5) mm;
At multisheet (5 sheets) back springs — (135±5) mm.
The difference of the sizes of an arrow of a deflection of the springs with the same name established on the car, should not exceed 10 mm.

Gauging of an arrow of a deflection of additional springs in a free condition is necessary for making from the tense thread enclosed to end faces of the ends of top of radical sheet, to its surface at центрового a bolt (fig. 6.5).
This size should be for an one-sheet additional spring (116±5) mm, for three-sheet — (81±5) mm. The difference of these sizes for the left and right additional springs also should not exceed 10 mm.
If as a result of preliminary survey breakages peccopу it is necessary to disassemble in a following order are found out:
- To clamp a spring in a vice in immediate proximity from центрового a bolt;
- To turn away a nut of bolts of collars, to take out bolts;
- To turn away a nut центрового a bolt and cautiously to release a vice as sheets in a strapped spring are in a tension.
To wash out kerosene all sheets of a spring, to wipe and examine, whether there are no cracks. To replace the broken sheets and sheets with cracks.

In case of a separation of rubber from metal armature in резинометаллических hinges it is necessary to replace them. For выпрессовки hinges from a spring ear it is necessary to take advantage оправкой, as is shown in fig. 6.6 and 6.7.

Assemblage of springs
For increase in an arrow of a deflection of sheets of a spring it is inadmissible them рихтовка hammer or sledge hammer blows as it leads to fast breakage. It is supposed рихтовка sheets прокаткой between rollers.

At replacement резинометаллических their hinges it is necessary to grease with liquid soap preliminary. At multisheet springs to miss the mark surfaces of sheets with graphitic greasing. At малолистовых springs between sheets to insert plastic linings.
Assemblage of springs is necessary for making in a following order:
- подсобрать sheets in a corresponding order and to insert into an aperture under центровой a bolt a technological core in diameter equal to diameter центрового of a bolt;
- In a vice to compress the central part of a spring as it is possible more close to a core and to take out it;
- To insert instead of a core центровой a bolt a head downwards and to tighten a nut;
- To insert bolts of collars and to tighten their nuts at multisheet and to bend collars at малолистовых springs;
- To release a spring from a vice and to wipe it from superfluous greasing;
- To check up an arrow of a deflection of a spring in a free condition as it has been specified earlier;
- To suspend a spring vertically and to paint it in black colour.

At installation shorter end of a spring should be turned forward. резинометаллических hinges the inhaling of nuts of their bolts should be made For correct work at the straightened springs. It is possible to execute this operation by the adaptation (fig. 6.10) by means of a regular jack.
Spring installation on the car should be made in a following order:
- To lower the car so that the forward end of a spring has entered into the arm, and back — in the bottom end of earrings;
- On a bolt of the forward end of a spring to establish two conic and one flat washers;
- подсобранный thus a bolt to establish in a forward arm and to screw on it a nut;
- To insert a bolt into earrings and a back ear of a spring, to put on a lock washer and to screw on a bolt a nut;
- To straighten a spring by means of the adaptation (fig. 6.10), to tighten nut of bolts of hinges moment 120—150 Н·м (12—15 кгс·м) and to clean the adaptation;
- On a forward spring, and also on a back spring of buses from above to put an overlay, and on it the step-ladders which carving ends to insert into beam apertures, then to fix step-ladders nuts with lock washers;
- On a back spring if it малолистовая, it is necessary to establish an additional spring and an overlay;
- If a spring multisheet it is necessary to establish on it a lining, then an additional spring and on it an overlay. Then on an overlay and in apertures of a pillow of the back bridge establish step-ladders. On carving parts of step-ladders establish lock washers and screw nuts;
- If on the car wheels it is necessary to clean supports and a jack are established;
- To tighten definitively nuts of step-ladders the moment 120—150 Н·м (12 15 кгс·м);
- To attach the bottom end of the shock-absorber.
