In the absence of special devices check of system of ignition can be carried out as follows:
- To check up serviceability of the central wire of a high voltage from the ignition coil to the gauge-distributor. Resistance of a wire should be no more than 500 Ohm;
- To disconnect the central wire of a high voltage from the gauge of the distributor and to fix a tip of a wire of a high voltage on distance of 6-7 mm from the car case;
- To switch off ignition;
- Separate wire periodically to connect conclusions «+» and «Д» the switchboard. At the serviceable switchboard it should cause a spark in a backlash between a tip of a wire of a high voltage and the case.
The periodic detachment from a conclusion «Д» the wire switchboard should cause a spark in a backlash between a tip of a high-voltage wire and the case of the car and fire of a control lamp.
If the spark is not present, it specifies in malfunction in a gauge-distributor winding. Serviceability of a winding of the gauge-distributor is defined by an ohmmeter. Resistance should be 400—450 Ohm.
Serviceability of the coil of ignition also is defined by an ohmmeter. Resistance of a primary winding should be 0,6 Omyo20 of %, secondary — 16,5 кОм±20 %.
Spark plugs
To the engine to apply spark plugs А14ВР with the built in resistor (8000-10 000 Ohm).
Maintenance service of spark plugs consists in check of their condition, clearing of a deposit and backlash adjustment between electrodes. Before вывертыванием candles it is necessary to remove a dirt a brush or compressed air from a candle nest in a head of cylinders.
Candles should be checked after engine work under loading. Engine work idling changes character of a deposit on which it is possible to draw wrong conclusions on candle work. To unscrew candles follows only the special (candle) face key which is available in the complete set of the driver's tool.
At survey of candles it is necessary to check up especially attentively, whether there are no cracks on an insulator, to pay attention to character of a deposit, and also on a condition of electrodes and a backlash between them. The konusnaja part of an insulator candles (skirt) should not have a deposit and cracks.
The candles having cracks of an insulator, are subject to replacement.
At work of candles on their skirts the krasnovato-brown touch, not disturbing to work of candles is usually formed. This touch should not be mixed with a deposit, such candles do not require cleaning. Candles with a deposit carefully clear on special пескоструйном device E-203.
At insulator clearing it is not recommended to apply sharp steel subjects as thus on its surface scratches and the roughnesses promoting further adjournment of a deposit are formed. If clearing of candles it is impossible to make also a deposit layer it is great, it is necessary to replace candles.

The candles cleared of a deposit, with the adjusted backlashes between electrodes before installation on the engine to check up on the device for tests of candles under pressure. At serviceable candles at pressure 800—900 кПа (8—9 kgs/sm 2) the spark should appear regularly, trouble-free, between central and lateral electrodes and without the superficial category. At pressure 1000 кПа (10 kgs/sm 2) the new not working candle should be completely tight: should not pass air neither on connection of the case with an insulator, nor on connection of the central electrode with an insulator. For the candles working on the engine, the admission of air to 40 sm 3 / is supposed minute
The candle should be established into place necessarily with a lining; to screw a candle at first a hand, and then to tighten a candle key. The lining represents a washer curtailed from thin metal, and is calculated on смятие at an inhaling.
At a detachment of a wire from normally working candle the number of turns of the engine decreases, and at a detachment of a wire from the damaged candle the number of turns remains invariable. Idle candles or working with faults to the touch are colder than the others. Hence, they can be found out sometimes to this sign. High voltage wires
The wires of a high voltage made of a wire of mark ПВППВ, have the core with ferrite наполнителем on which from a wire with high ohmic resistance (2000±200 the Ohm the spiral is reeled up on metre of length). Wires with distributive resistance reduce level of the radio noise created by system of ignition.
At car operation it is necessary to watch, that on a surface of wires oil that leads to their pollution did not get and causes leak of a current and isolation breakdown. For the purpose of removal from wires of a dust and their dirt it is necessary to wipe a napkin slightly moistened in gasoline.
The ignition and starter switch
The switch consists of the anticreeping mechanical lock and the electric switch. The switch key has four positions:
III — ignition is switched off, and at the taken out key the antijoy ride device is included;
0 — ignition is switched off;
I — ignition is included;
II — ignition and a starter are included. Returning in position I automatic.
Secondary inclusion of a starter probably only after key transfer in position 0.

For check of serviceability of the switch of ignition it is necessary to collect the electric scheme shown on fig. 9.32. At key turn in position I (ignition is included) lamps And and should burn In, and in position II (ignition and a starter is included) lamps And and should burn. In positions 0 and III lamps should not to burn. The Power failure between plugs of 30/1 and 15/1 should not exceed 0,25 In at a current 20 A.Neispravnyj the switch is subject to replacement.
The management block экономайзером compulsory idling of the carburettor
The block (1412.3733 or 25.3761-01) — the electronic device, which, depending on frequency of the impulses arriving from the coil of ignition (i.e. Depending on frequency of rotation of the engine), operates the electromagnetic valve 1902.3741. The valve in turn operates экономайзером givings of fuel of idling of the engine.
At frequency of impulses of system of ignition from 0 to 53±6,36 Hz (that corresponds 1600±200 mines-1 a cranked shaft of the engine) and the released pedal of a drive throttle заслонок the management block submits a food on the electromagnetic valve, including the channel экономайзера idling, and fuel arrives in the carburettor.
At frequency of impulses more 53±6,36 Hz and the released pedal of a drive throttle заслонок (movement накатом) the block stops food giving on the valve that leads to a fuel stopping delivery through the channel экономайзера idling in the carburettor.
By consideration of work of system экономайзера compulsory idling it is necessary to mean that the electronic block works in parallel with the microswitch on the carburettor, which запитывает the electromagnetic valve, irrespective of block work by pressing a pedal of a drive throttle заслонок.
Check of working capacity of the electronic block of management is necessary for spending at the stand of type К295, К297. In the absence of the stand an indirect indicator of working capacity of the block of management is pressure giving on the electromagnetic valve at отпускании pedals throttle заслонок and the included switch of ignition.

The microswitch 422.3709 (fig. 9.33), established on the carburettor, submits pressure on the electromagnetic valve экономайзера compulsory idling by pressing of a pedal of a drive throttle заслонок.
At the released pedal of a drive throttle заслонок the switch disconnects a food on the electromagnetic valve.
The inclusion-switching-off moment is regulated by moving of the microswitch to oval apertures of fastening.
Serviceability of work of the microswitch is checked by an ohmmeter. Resistance of the closed contacts should be no more than 0,1 Ohm.

The electromagnetic valve 1902.3741 (fig. 9.34) serves for management of vacuum giving in экономайзер compulsory idling.
